Curved blades are suitable for cutting thick branches. In the cutting process, the blade shape is easy to concentrate the power to the object. Compared to the straight blades, the level of concentration is much higher. That enables you to cut thick branches easily.

While, straight blades are suitable for cutting soft leafs, stems and thin branches.
